This line includes the work with the communities of Boca de Tomatlán and El Tuito, where there will be activities toward at the management and protection of the Military Macaw, mainly through ecotourism activities and collaboration with scientific research Some of them are:

Within the ecotourism program an “adopt a nest” program will be implemented through which donations will be solicited from tourists and used to guarantee payment of salaries for locals who protect and monitor nests. In this way we will ensure follow-up and documentation of the reproductive process. Tourists that participate in the program will be kept up-to-date via internet, through the Guacamayas para Siempre website.

Currently, in the Military macaw conservation initiative on Bahia de Banderas, the people involved besides the members of Macaws Forever are:
Currently, in the Military macaw conservation initiative on Bahia de Banderas, the people involved besides the members of Macaws Forever are:
- Professors and students of the University of Guadalajara, campus Costa from the bachelor degree of Biology and Tourism. They are working in activities of monitoring, research and environmental education.
- Authorities of the naturally protected area, El Salado in Puerto Vallarta, in the activities of monitoring and research.
- The school director Professor Gerardo Mejia and his students from the Junior High school Leona Vicario in Boca de Tomatlan. With their group called Iguanas and Guacamayas, they involve also students from Yelapa and Quimixto and some parents that got involved in the monitoring and environmental education activities.
- Community people of Boca the Tomatlan and Las Juntas y los Veranos that are helping in the search and care of nests.
- People that live in El Jorullo and Puerto Vallarta that are doing voluntary monitoring.
